About The Subwing Tour to Tortuga Island

Subwing activities are weather and ocean-condition dependent. Visibility, marine life sightings, and water conditions can vary throughout the year. Our experienced guides and boat crew will always prioritize safety while providing the best possible experience based on current conditions.
Transportation Details
Transportation from local hotel in Jaco and Herradura is included with this tour. The pickup is at 7:30am (If changes you’ll be notified) from the Jaco area. If you wish to drive yourself to the beach, the boat leaves from Herradura beach, plenty of places to park. And you must be there 15 minutes before the hour. [7:45am]
What If It Rains?
In Jaco, the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica, we have two remotely powerful seasons which we call: Dry Season (November – May) and Wet/Rainy Season (June – October). So we are used to the rain here, plus it’s not cold, actually doesn’t bother you too much unless it’s a downpour. The tour to Tortuga Island will still be operating if it rains, also remember that climates change every 10km in Costa Rica and may not be raining at the island when it is in Jaco. If the tour is cancelled it will be to a sever storm and/or with high winds where it is not safe to travel on the catamaran, your will be notified for rescheduling.
Cancellation Policy
Online reservations offer 5 days before the tour starts for a full refund, with no refunds after that. No-show or late arrivals, there will be no refunds, and the payment/deposit will be lost.
